Welcome to the NZCCA Conference 2018
Nelson Tasman’s diverse geography captures everything from the long golden beaches to untouched forests and rugged mountains. Perhaps it’s the sun, perhaps it’s the location, but Nelson Tasman has long been a magnet for creative people. This will be the setting for Conference 2018!
The conference will be held at The Rutherford Hotel, only a short walk from the main city centre in Nelson. The Executive Committee has already been working hard to plan a superb conference, and we are delighted to have Dr Brian Broom and Dr Ruth Lawson-McConnell as our key note speakers. We believe you are in for a treat!
The invitation is that your ‘whole person’ will live in the place of love, not fear.
‘Give thanks to the Lord Almighty, for the LORD is good; his love endures for ever.’ “For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were before,” says the Lord. ‘This is what the Lord Almighty says: “In this place, desolate and without people or animals – in all its towns there will again be pastures for shepherds to rest their flocks.” (Jer.33:11,12. NIV)
May you as a ‘shepherd’, counsellor, therapist or social worker be refreshed at this year’s Conference and enjoy connecting with colleagues over hot drinks and delicious food. I encourage you to spend some extra time exploring this wonderful region and invite you to bring family and friends to join us for a very memorable conference!
The New Zealand Christian Counsellors Association (NZCCA) was established in 1995 as a charitable organisation. Our aim is to promote professional excellence in counselling practice. We are recognised as a professional body by the Ministry of Justice, ACC and Work and Income.
